Our big day in Atlanta
Where do I start? This was going to be our year. We have our new home and Lonnie is living his dream.
Last year Lonnie was going for a ceroted arterey. They canceled because his platelettes were low. So they did some blood work and found out that he had myloefibrisis. It's a cousin to lewkemia. He will be getting treatments like cancer. So we have a long road ahead of us. Just keep us in your prayers.
We went to Atlanta today. It was a beautiful day, hardly any traffic in Atlanta. Found our way to Northside Hospital. The hospital is pretty and easy to get around, the people was really nice. Really have no complaints about the place yet. Dr. Holland is the doctor. He explain everything to us about how it's done. Their in the process of looking for a donor. They have a couple already in mind. The one he kept talking about is in Europe. It'll take 2 to 3 weeks before we find out anything. So now all we do is get things organized here and get ready.
On the way home we stopped at Sonny's BarBeQue. Boy was that good. Lonnie is really tired now so he went on to bed. I think it's hitting him pretty hard now. There's so much to take in. So much to learn as a caregiver, as a cancer patient...
